Meridia Appraisal Group was happy to participate in the 15th annual Light the Night walk in downtown San Antonio. The Light the Night walk supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and raised more than $900,000. An estimated 12,000 people walked the streets of downtown San Antonio to shed light on the dark world of cancer.
William Robinson and his family, Jenna and Skylar Robinson, attended the 15th annual Light the Night walk as part of Team Monster in support of Dominque “Monster” Lopez, our nephew. Dom was of the opinion that walking wasn’t enough and took it upon himself to run the length of the course. Looking at Dom today, nobody would guess the fight for his life he endured. Dom was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 18 months and has been in remission for 3 years.
Additionally, William Robinson’s uncle Larry Hedtke of Karnes City, Texas, continues to battle with multiple myeloma, a form of cancer related to leukemia and lymphoma, and has been in and out remission for 4 years. There is no cure for multiple myeloma, but treatments are available that slow its progression.
Cancer impacts so many families every year, Meridia Appraisal Group is happy to be able do our part to help cure this disease.
